And now the answer to that burning question......
Do SIDs like snow?
Just a little......
Hemi is almost 6 months old and Winnie is just over 13 months. And yes, Hemi IS bigger than Winnie now. I can't pick him up to stand on the scale anymore so weight milestones will have to wait for the vet visits. I'm guestimating that he's around 60 pounds.
Please enjoy the photos of the "kids" playing in the snow!
"Wasn't me! Hemi did it!"
We have about a foot of new snow with another 8 - 12 inches expected tonight.
Hemi is becoming quite the little man. I swear he's grown more just since Christmas!
Winnie has decided to investigate the pine trees...
"Hhmmmm, I wonder what will happen if I pull on these pine needles?"
oh...
"Oh please, it's not that funny!
Hey Hemi, wanna try something really fun?"
That's it..... now pull as hard as you can.....
He's SO gullible!
Well, that's all for now folks. Hope your holidays were wonderful and your new year is filled with peace and joy.

Winnie was 1 Year old on November 25th
Hemi is 20 Weeks (4 1/2 months)
This is Winnie and Hemi standing side by side in the inside portion of the kennel. You can see Hemi's white tail slightly lower than Winnie's at the tip and his nose lower at the front. You'll also note that his back is slightly higher.
Playing in the new snow.....
Let me whisper in your ear

Update: September 13, 2009
Hemi arrived at his new home about 10pm last night. It was a 13 hour drive from Michigan. He was an awesome traveler! We made several pit stops for water and other necessities then he hung out with the new humans, sleeping and listening to music. He cried a bit at first, but that ended pretty quick. He met Winnie, stole her nylabone, ate some of her food, went outside and did his thing then slept through the night in his crate, in our room.
For all the latest news and photos of Hemi, please click on his link in the lefthand column.
His markings are called broken-patterned which is highly prized and considered sacred among Native Americans and are referred to as "spirit dogs". He does have coloring at the base of his tail, as well as around his eyes and ears. His markings are called "blue" in color.
A broken-patterned parent can throw any coat and marking color combinations to his puppies, so anything is possible. Since his dam (below) has blue eyes, he may still pass that on, and since Winnie has blue eyes, we should see some blue eyes in our pups too.
